Why a weekly page is the most useful printable

Daily pages are great, but many people miss days and feel behind. A weekly journal page asks for one sit-down a week, usually on Sunday, and still captures the moments that matter. Fifty-two of them make a full year you can hold in one binder.

If you prefer a page for every day, use our daily journal template or the classic diary template.

A filled in weekly journal page

Weekly journalWeek of June 2
My week
Best: beach day with the cousins. Ice cream everywhere. Hardest: car repair cost more than I planned. Grateful: Dad's help, long evenings, a quiet Sunday. Done: tax forms, fixed the gate, read one book. Learned: ask for a quote before saying yes. Next week: meal plan, one early night, call Jo.

Tips for printing and binding journal pages

  • Paper weight. Normal printer paper is fine for pen. Use thicker paper or card stock if you use markers.
  • Double sided. Print the daily page on both sides to save paper and make a thinner binder.
  • Binder. A small ring binder lets you add pages any time. Add tabbed dividers for each month.
  • Disc binding. Disc binders let you move pages around like a notebook.
  • Staple a booklet. Fold a stack of pages in half and staple the fold for a simple monthly journal.
  • Keep a cover page. Print a plain sheet with your name and the year on it for the front.

Questions people ask

Are these printable journal pages free?

Yes. You can fill in the weekly page online, print it and save it as a PDF for free. No sign up and no email needed. You can print as many copies as you like for personal use.

How do I print journal pages?

Press the Print button on the page. Choose your printer to get paper copies, or choose Save as PDF to keep a digital file. Print several blank copies at once so you always have one ready.

What paper is best for printable journal pages?

Standard printer paper works for pens and pencils. If you use markers, highlighters or paint, a heavier paper or light card stock stops ink from bleeding through.

How do I turn printable pages into a journal?

The easiest way is a ring binder with tabbed dividers. You can also use a disc binding system, staple a folded stack into a booklet, or take pages to a print shop for spiral binding.

What should I put on a printable journal page?

A date and four to seven simple questions, such as best moment, hardest moment, gratitude, what I learned and next week's focus. Keep the boxes big enough to write a few lines in each.
