My Diary Journal
Prayer and Bible journaling

Prayer journal

A prayer journal is a place to write your prayers, the verses that speak to you, and the ways God answers. Start with a free template, a list of prompts, or a guide for your season of life.

Why write your prayers

Writing slows your thoughts down so you can actually pray them. It keeps your mind from wandering, gives you a list of people to remember, and leaves a record of answered prayers that builds your faith when you read it back.

Begin with the prayer journal template or read how to start a prayer journal.

Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Psalm 62:8 KJV

Ways to keep a prayer journal

Some people follow a simple pattern like ACTS (adoration, confession, thanksgiving, supplication). Others start in Scripture with the SOAP method in how to journal the Bible. You can also keep a prayer list by person, with pages for your husband, your children or your future husband.

If you want a guided year, our Prayer Journal for Women app gives you a verse, a reflection and a prayer page every week, with a prayer list and a record of answered prayers.
