My Diary Journal
Effective October 11, 2026

Privacy policy

The short version: what you write stays in your browser on your own device. We never receive it.

What you write

Diary pages, template answers and your PIN setting are saved in your browser's local storage on the device you are using. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. If you clear your browser data, use a private window, or switch devices, those pages will not be there. Print or save a PDF of anything you want to keep.

Your PIN

If you set a PIN, only a scrambled version of it (a hash) is kept in your browser. The PIN keeps the diary closed on a shared computer. It does not encrypt your pages, so anyone with full access to your device and browser could still reach them.

What we collect

We do not use accounts, ads or tracking cookies. Our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these to identify you.

Children

The site does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this ever changes, we will update this page and the date above first.
